OKANAGAN LAVENDER FARM started in 1994 as a 1/4 acre test block of lavender. Today they have over 3 1/2 acres of this fragrant plant and a delicious array of food. Known mostly for their Lavender Jelly, Okanagan Lavender Farm also sells a Loaf Mix, a Herbes de Provence spice mix, spiced sea salt, lavender sugar and Culinary Provence Lavender Buds. Recipes for your use are available at the farm which is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm except for statutory holidays.
There is a self-guided tour that can be taken any time with guided tours by reservation only. The farm is located at 4380 Takla Road in Kelowna. It is a bit off the main route, so it’s best to call first (250-764-7795) for directions or check out their website at

ANNEGRET’S CHOCOLATES is located in the Town Centre Mall in downtown Kelowna. Annegret’s is a must visit for chocolate lovers of all ages. All chocolates are hand made on the premises. There are 42 different types
to choose from including dark, milk and white chocolate as well as no-sugar added for dark and milk chocolates. They make custom molded chocolates in every imaginable shape, as well as corporate chocolates.
Annegret also makes her own gelato in 14 flavours and uses all Okanagan ingredients including organic fruit when in season. There is also sugar free sorbet made with fructose. The store is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday. There are always samples available for those who just can’t decide. They only ship in the colder months, as there are no preservatives, artificial flavours or additional transfats to stand up against the summer heat.

SUMMERLAND SWEETS has been putting the scrumptious into summer since 1962. They have over 23 fruit based syrups (three with brandy and five that are all fruit), 25 flavours of jams and jellies with an additional five with liqueur added and four that are all fruit. There are also three flavours of soft fruit jelly candy that come in a pine gift box and finally four nut-brittles, peanut, almond, cashew and pecan.
