Davison Orchards NORTH OKANAGAN
OKANAGAN SPIRITS is unique in that their craft distillery was designed to take advantage of the wide assortment of fruit grown in the Okanagan Valley. Recognized as a ‘Master Class’ distillery by the World Spirits Organization, they make local fruits into specialty spirits, distilled Gin, Absinthe and a liqueur made from Seabuckthorn berries.
“We are unique in having a working still that people can come in and see,” says Rodney Goodchild, Sales and Marketing manager of Okanagan Spirits. Their product can be purchased in liquor stores throughout Canada and at the distillery, just a few blocks from the downtown core across from Polson Park in Vernon. They offer 25 varieties for tastings and are open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday thru Saturday. Call 250-549- 3120 or go to

DAVISON ORCHARDS is one of those “must visit” attractions for everyone. You can almost smell Auntie May’s deep-dish pies as you come up Davison Road outside of Vernon. All pies are baked with seasonal fruits and can be purchased frozen or fresh baked. You’ll also find fresh pressed apple juice and 15 varieties of in season preserves. Most of the fruits and vegetables are grown right there on the farm to ensure freshness. Check out their pickled asparagus or hybrid bluebarb jam. Davison makes their own caramel; great for dipping and drizzling.
