Criminal Law

with one another to get the best result for our clients is much more effective than being the obtuse defense attorney who always wants a trial. Tis kind of collaboration can be very helpful to getting a positive result. Be open to talking to everyone about your case, especially if you don’t know the routine in a particular jurisdiction. Finally, we feel that getting our clients help is of the

utmost importance. Although our role is not to be alcohol counselors to our clients, we should counsel them to avoid reoccurrence. Our philosophy is to have a client immediately enroll in an alcohol program and emphasize the importance of completing the program prior to going to court. Being proactive and making sure the client is not a problem drinker will be very helpful in court and for purposes of mitigation. Moreover, we feel it’s important to try and help people with alcohol problems. Tere is nothing more rewarding than getting calls from clients thanking your for getting them sober five years after you defended them for a DUI/DWI. At the end of the day, we are here to help people. As more and more attorneys are venturing into areas of

practice that they don’t do regularly it’s important to keep in mind...”the only stupid question, is the unasked question.” 
