Schools out and the holidays have finally arrived, so to keep everyone entertained the Swansea Bay Summer Festival is packed with events for all the family.
The month starts with Botanics in Bloom (1 – 31 August) in Singleton Park. See the gardens at their most spectacular with events and activities taking place throughout.
Outdoor Theatre returns to Oystermouth Castle (3 & 4 August, 7.30pm) with a performance of Shakespeare’s greatest comedy Twelfth Night performed by the award-winning Illyria. Tickets are £9 in
advance, £10.50 on the day (concessions available).
An evening of classics with the Phil Dando Big Band and vocalist Heather Castle feature in Miller by Moonlight (5 August, 7.30pm) at Oystermouth Castle. Come and see some of the up and coming young tennis players at the Swansea Junior Tennis Championships (8 – 13 August) at Langland Bay and witness
Swansea come alive with music, culture and dance with World Party (27 August) at Museum Park.
Try a tipple at the Swansea Bay Beer Festival (25 – 27 August) at the Brangwyn Hall. This popular annual event will feature over 100 real ales, ciders and perries.
