for years, starting from Little League up into high school. He used to coach a major league player named Mike Sweeney, who plays for the Philadelphia Phillies. Mike Sweeney still keeps in contact with Coach, and they share a bond that was started in the classroom, and out of the baseball field. Coach has had a huge effect on his life, and someday, I hope I can affectionately be called Coach also.


Becoming a teacher is going to be a lot of hard work; going back to school to get your


teaching credentials, staying up late grading papers, trying to break into the ranks, and sometimes thinking that you could have done more in your life as you see your students going off to college and doing amazing things. But realizing all the perks of teaching, and remembering that without you, they never would have been able to make it where they are today, what’s a little hard work today compared to a lifetime of happiness?
