AAGRAH ADDS ANOTHER LEEDS RESTAURANT TO NETWORK

The award-winning Aagrah chain has opened a fifth res- taurant in Leeds, and its 14th overall in the UK, in Chapel Allerton. The official opening ceremony was performed by Mr Solyom and his family, whose name was drawn from hundreds of entries received from Aagrah customers to win the prize of being a ‘Celebrity for the Evening’. The new restaurant will serve Kashmiri cuisine, with a par- ticular emphasis on using quality produce supplied fresh from Aagrah’s own butchers unit. One of the key features of this latest addition to the Aagrah network is a large con- servatory which covers the front of the dining room, flooding the room with natural light. Diners can enjoy drinks in the separate bar area or take in the view from the open plan kitchen, which will allow diners to see the chefs cooking. Aagrah was founded by Mohammed Sabir MBE, now group Chairman, who opened his first restaurant in Shipley in 1977. Today the group serves over 18,000 customers every week,

has a workforce of 380 as well as a purpose built conference and banqueting centre on the border of Leeds and Bradford with a capacity of 450. The company also has an outdoor event catering business, which can provide catering from 50 to 5,000 people to anywhere in the UK.
