RENKUS-HEINZ | IC²
www.renkus-heinz.com
Designed for theatre and club installations, IC² integrates digital beam steering with high power output, built in amplification and RHAON network control. This unique design opens up a new product sector in pro audio, for venues looking for the ultimate in quality and control. IC² combines the control and flexibility of Iconyx digitally steerable technology with the power and focus of a point source loud- speaker, creating the world’s first ‘hybrid array’ with the full benefits of both technologies. Four 8-inch low frequency Neodymium transducers and 1-inch Titanium Nitride coated HF drivers offer high SPL point source performance, while individual steering control of each driver gives the IC² exceptional vertical pattern control for maximum intelligibility by delivering up to four separately controllable beams. Each IC² two-way 8-inch module delivers articulate musicality and powerful punch, with a versatile design that can be used as a stand-alone high-performance loudspeaker, a small ground stack or a flown array of up to 20 cabinets.
SOUND PRECISION | ULTIMA VHA-40
www.soundprecision.com
The Ultima VHA-40 is a three-way full range speaker that can be used in line arrays in horizontal mode but also in point source clusters in vertical mode with excellent coherence due to the unique treble transducer, which is bendable from 0º to 30º as a part of a perfect circle. This treble unit has superior sound quality with 10 times lower distortion than the highest quality compression driver systems. In the middle range there are two 6.5-inch units working in a wave guide with no compromises concerning dispersion and frequency response. For minimum interference problem between treble and middle range the passive filter have 80dB / Oct slopes. In the bass range there are two 10-inch units working in a bass reflex cabinet. The enclosures are of visco-elastic damped rigid aluminum construction, thus the panel resonances are much smaller compared to common plywood cabinets for better middle range definition. The VHA-40 needs two channels and the impedance is 12 ohms. The frequency re- sponse is 50 - 22000Hz. The dispersion as a line array is 120º horizontally, while dispersion in a cluster is 30º horizontally for each speaker. And it has a maximum SPL peak of 135dB.
