HK AUDIO | VORTIS SERIES www.hkaudio.com

Excellent speech intelligibility, precise coverage patterns, flexible mounting hardware and unobtrusive design are key quality requirements today for loudspeakers used in fixed installations. The new HK Audio Vortis Series was specifically developed to meet the needs of this market. At the heart of the Vortis Series is a newly developed line of high-frequency horns. There are three different versions available, 60° H x 40° V, 90° H x 55° V, and an asymmetric horn, which vertically opens up from 60° at the top to 90° at the bottom with a constant vertical coverage of 55°. These horns are combined with different housings to extend the frequency range towards the low end. Since the mouth of each horn has a square shape, all horn versions can be rotated by 90° to achieve an alternate coverage pattern. This effectively creates a total of 36 alternative speaker models for sound designers and architects to choose from to fill any need. Additionally, all speakers are available in any RAL colour. Due to the modular design of Vortis, long delivery terms are a thing of the past. All housings are kept in the warehouse unfinished, and are fitted with the horn and painted on demand. This system makes it possible to have all speakers in all RAL colors available within only a few weeks. The trapezoidal housings are angled to permit clustering and offer different mounting points for both vertical and horizontal implementation. The design of the new Vortis Series is elegantly conservative, rendering it ideal for integration into both modern and classical architecture.

JBL | MARQUIS DANCE SERIES www.jblpro.com

The JBL Marquis Dance Series is designed for premier dance club installations worldwide. The eight models in the product line include multi-way systems and subwoofers. JBL Marquis Dance Club Series loudspeakers incorporate a host of the company’s most advanced and proven technologies to deliver extraordinary sound quality and reliable long-term operation. The heavy-duty subwoofers, woofers and midrange drivers utilise JBL’s patented Differential Drive technology, which employs two voice coils and two magnetic gaps rather than the single drive coil of conventional drivers. This configuration provides higher peak output with less power compression, for consistent sound quality even at high volume levels. The subwoofers utilise JBL Vented Gap Cooling as well as Differential Drive technology, which pumps air through the woofer’s magnetic gap and directly over and around the voice coil to provide immediate heat transfer and reduce operating temperature, further reducing power compression and enabling greater dynamic capability. Marquis Dance Series loudspeakers are built to the highest standards to withstand continuous, demanding professional use, with ruggedised cabinet coverings and durable metal grilles. MD52 and MD55 offer built-in handles, pole mounts, and the MD52 has OmniMount compatible mounting points. All models are equipped with multiple M10 attachment points and additional installation-friendly features and feature distinctive grille design and system appearance suitable for high-design environments.
