COMMUNITY PROFESSIONAL | DISTRIBUTED DESIGN SERIES
www.communitypro.com
Community Professional Loudspeaker’s new Distributed Design Series of ceiling loudspeakers is designed for exceptionally high quality sound with wide, uniform coverage. Features include Community’s innovative Drop-Stop and Twist-Assist tabs, to reduce installation time. The Drop-Stop feature provides spring-loaded legs to support the back-can whilst tightening the clamps. If the loudspeaker back-cans are pre-installed, the product’s Twist-Assist locking allows the baffle assembly to be self-supporting while fastening the screws to the
can.The five full-range, standard-depth back-can models are the 60W 4.5-inch D4, the 100W 5-inch D5, the 100W 6.5-inch D6, the 150W 8-inch D8 and the 200W 10-inch D10. There is also a low-profile 60W 4.5-inch D4LP which is only 3.6 inches deep. Completing the range is the pow- erful 200W 10-inch D10SUB. All models can be used in eight ohm or 70V / 100V configurations. Each of the six full-range models is a true coaxial loudspeaker, with a compression driver concentrically located so that the high frequencies emerge through the centre of the low-fre- quency driver via a precisely contoured Tru-Phase HF waveguide. This provides consistent, wide dispersion up to 16kHz. Optimum system configuration can be achieved quickly and easily using Community’s free Forecaster HD Ceiling Distributed System Design Software
CORNERED AUDIO | C5
www.cornered.dk
The C5 from Cornered Audio is the smallest model yet. It is designed for low to medium output applications such as lounges, conference rooms, under balcony applications in theatres, and boutiques. Like all other Cornered models, the C5 has a 90o design which enables it to fit discreetly in corners. Mounting points are hidden and it flush mounts without bracket vertically in the corner or horizontally on wall or ceiling. Two, three or four boxes can be coupled together for extended coverage. Technically the C5 is a two-way full range speaker with a 5.25-inch woofer plus slave and a 1-inch tweeter, made in aluminium with an MDF baffle. Dispersion is 120º x 120º, impedance is eight ohm and power handling is 100W. The C5 is acoustically optimised to corner or on-wall placement and has a full range sensitivity of 88dB. The cable solution is very discreet, as there is no visible cable terminal. Instead, the speaker cable is run in a slot at the back of the cabinet, going through the cabinet to the front, where the terminals are placed and accessed behind the grille. C5 is available in black, white and aluminium.
CRAAFT AUDIO | TRINITY TF3
www.novaacoustic.com
The TF3 is a three-way high performance multipurpose loudspeaker in a trapezoidal chassis for fixed installations and mobile use. The cabinet is equipped with a 1.4-inch HF driver (2.5-inch voice coil). The HF driver is mounted onto a horn with a nominal coverage of 60° x 40° (H x V). The MF section is equipped with a 10-inch speaker, which works onto the integrated wave guide. The LF section is covered by two 12-inch high performance speakers. The integrated flying system includes four ANCRA tracks and enables the use of NFS 3 eyelets for installation. The flexible TF3 suits for speech and music applications as a stand-alone full range system or MF / HF speaker in sound rein- forcement systems. The chassis is constructed from 15mm birch plywood and covered with black PolyUrea finish. The cabinet is equipped with two grip handles and a front grill with transparent charcoal foam backing. Two speakon connectors (NL4) are mounted at the rear side of the chassis for signal input and signal link. The power rating of the TF3 is 1,000W (RMS) at the LF section, 400W (RMS) at the MF section and 70W (RMS) at the HF section. The impedance of the LF section is four ohms. The impedance of the MF / HF section is eight ohms.
D&B AUDIOTECHNIK | XA-SERIES
www.dbaudio.com
The d&b audiotechnik xA-Series includes both loudspeakers and subwoofers targeted towards installation environments. The Series comprises four loudspeakers and two matching subwoofers whose names reflect the LF driver size employed. The 10A / 10A-D point source and 10AL / 10AL-D line source loudspeakers enable the design of vertical arrays of highest quality and performance with medium SPL, whereas the point source models can also be used to create horizontal arrays. A direct radiating LF / MF is utilised in combination with various different HF dispersion technologies including line source waveguides. The dedicated subwoofers are the 18A and 27A whose frequency response extends from 37 to 140Hz and 40 to 140Hz respectively. Their mounting hardware allows them to be integrated into vertical 10A / 10A-D and 10AL / 10AL-D arrays or as stand-alone columns. The 27A is a passive cardioid subwoofer which utilises the d&b patented PSP (Plywood Signal Processing) technology that avoids unwanted energy behind the system using only a single amplifier chan- nel. The Series is driven by the d&b D6 or D12 amplifiers that incorporate d&b Remote network interfaces enabling control and monitoring of not only the system functions but other multi-media environments via the d&b R1 Remote control software platform. Special version cabinets offering RAL colours and weather resistant options are also available.
