AD-SYSTEMS | STIUM
www.ad-systems.com
With the release of the AD-Systems, STiUM AD-System satisfies customer demand for a compact, very powerful horn-loaded MF / HF loudspeaker system. Utilising a twin 12-inch low-mid section and a high resolution 1.4-inch high-frequency unit, this horn-top is able to generate clean, undistorted sound at levels in excess of 140dB. It’s specific design provides a very high wideband efficiency starting at 100Hz, so it sits very easily with any common subwoofer system. The system has a dispersion pattern of 75º x 50º, and has a weight of just below 40kg. The integrated passive crossover (phase corrected frequency division) make the AD-Systems STiUM a highly economic and universal medium-range speaker system.
ADAM HALL | VUE LINE
www.adamhall.com
The Vue Line is a family of multi-purpose, two-way passive and active full-range speaker systems. The eight models range from a compact 8-inch up to the 15-inch V-15, and all are designed for great performance and versatility. All models have the same basic concept of a high-efficiency low-frequency driver with neodymium motor structure, combined with a neodymium compression horn driver providing extended HF response, mounted on a 90° × 60° horn that can be rotated for a perfect dispersion in either horizontal or vertical cabinet placement. Engineered using our DECA Technology (Distortion Elimination Correction Analysis), the neodymium drivers perform amazingly at high SPLs, providing pure, clear sound with ultimate dynamic capability. The cabinets are constructed in 100% selected Baltic birch and optimised to match each combination of transducers in the best possible way, resulting in an incredible full-range frequency response. Coated using our own six layer water-resistant Dura-Coat LX paint finish and designed with integrated rigging hardware, these speakers are ready for any situation from FOH main and fill to AV presentations, stage floor monitors, and clubs. Accessories such as tailor-made flight cases, heavy-duty covers, and additional rigging and suspension components make this a complete family. In all active versions of the Vue Line the latest Bang & Olufsen ICEpower ASX2 Series are used. True to the ICEpower brand promise, the ASX2 Series sets a new industry benchmark in audio performance, efficiency, and power density. This is made possible by adopting the very latest ICEpower technological advances. Efficiency in both amplifier and power supply sections is over 90%, ensuring cool operation and improved reliability. Combin- ing this with the low idle consumption, 5 - 10 times less than in comparable Class AB amplifier circuits, means the ASX2 solutions are an environmentally responsible choice.
ADAMSON | POINT SERIES
www.adamsonsystems.com
The Adamson Point Series incorporates Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture in all 12-inch and 15-inch cabinets. These unique low- mid transducers have Kevlar cone geometries that reduce modal behaviour, providing an improved and linear pass-band. The two-way enclosures are available in both active and passive versions. For maximum flexibility, the Point 15 and Point 12 are equipped with a 40 x 20, 60 x 40, or 90 x 60 rotatable waveguide. The small Point 8 is fitted with a 90 x 60 rotatable waveguide. The height of the Point 8 matches the width of both, the Point 15, and the Point 115 Sub, for smooth integration into arrays and for use in downfill applications. The Point 115 sub is a flyable, single 15-inch enclosure with a passive crossover that’s designed for a seamless transition with the Point 8. The active 115 Sub requires signal processing. The Point 215 Sub is an active only cabinet with dual 15-inch drivers loaded in a manifold configuration. It features a built-in threaded pole mount socket and strategically placed standard screws, which can be replaced with eyehooks when needed. The Point Series enclosures include Side Lock Revolver (SLR) rigging sockets for various vertical and horizontal arraying methods using a single or a pair of cabinets. Cabinets are also fitted with four 5/16-treads for use with Omni Mount 40 or 60 wall-mount systems. The anisometric hexagon profile of the Series features a foam covered powder coated steel grille. With a sleek industrial design, the enclosures are built of 11ply, 5/8-inch Baltic Birch, the same as Adamson’s touring series. A recessed rear panel features a pair of 45º angle NL-4 Speakon connectors that allow close mounting to a wall. The Pantone Colour System is available to contractors who need to colour match loudspeakers, and their rigging accessories.
ALCONS AUDIO | VR8
www.alconsaudio.com
VR8 is a two-way compact multi-purpose loudspeaker for portable and permanent applications. Featuring the multiple-patented Alcons RBN401 pro-ribbon driver, it is ideal for high output, high fidelity applications. The VR8 features a proprietary 4-inch pro-ribbon driver and an 8-inch vented mid-bass driver. Frequency response is 74Hz up to 20kHz (+-3dB), with a peak power output of 125dB. The fast transient response of the woofer and flat ‘ribbon-famous’ frequency response of the RBN401 mounted on Alcons’ ALrad means the VR8 excels in absolute ‘reference-monitor’ detailed performance at high SPLs. As Alcons’ production tolerance of the pro-ribbons is within 1dB, every VR8 set can be regarded as a matched pair. Natural flat impedance makes impedance-correction circuitry obsolete, considerably shorten- ing the signal path. The 800W peak power handling of the HF pro-ribbon features a 16:1 peak-to-RMS power handling ratio and caters for a dynamic range from 1kHz to beyond 20kHz. The VR8 is SIS (Signal Integrity Sensing) pre-wired, ensuring complete cable / connector com- pensation between the VR8 and Alcons ALC controller, resulting in accurate mid and bass response, while substantially reducing distortion. The Speaker Drive Processing circuit of the ALC offers dedicated protection, filtering and system equalising, resulting in optimised plug ‘n’ play performance. The asymmetrical enclosure and 90º revolvable 90° x 40° wave-guide make the VR8 ideal as very compact FOH system or fill-in cabinet. It is also perfect for floor monitoring or an under-balcony sound system.
