Many women-owned small businesses are active in government contracting. This certification provides excellent support of a firm’s women-owned small business representation. [Note: Many firms have leveraged their NWBE certification for their government and prime contractor credentials. With the addition of new standards in the federal contracting system, the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce has added the FWBE certification to support women-owned firms that are not eligible for the WOSB/ EDWOSB programs - but want to provide assurance of their women-owned status to government buyers.]
