In 2010 the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation distributed $224,941 during its second round of grants to benefit the people of Accomack and Northampton counties.

To upgrade the sound system at the historic Palace Theatre in Cape Charles


Bloxom Volunteer Fire Department


To help build a new fire house Chincoteague Island Library


To complete the renovation of the library in downtown Chincoteague Eastern Shore Community College


To help build a new access road between the campus and Accomack Industrial Park


Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society


To install security systems and lighting and renovate its headquarters at the historic Ker Place


Eastern Shore Rural Health


For a generator for the Onley Community Health Center Oyster Museum of Chincoteague Island


For new roof, entry way and windows Sentara Health Foundation

The foundation formed in 2004 after raising $4 million to meet a $2 million challenge opportunity offered by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation through the Argyle Fund. Its 27 funds are managed by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation.
