thicknessing is also quick and easy, only the outfeed table needs to be lifted with no need to remove the fence, the dust chute flips over and you are ready to thickness on the large cast iron thicknessing table which is supported by a heavy central column and raised smoothly with a large handwheel. The 70mm block has three knives to allow faster feed speeds and provide a good quality finish. Anti kickback fingers protect the user as the knurled steel infeed roller drives timber easily into the block. The outfeed roller has a heavy rubber sleeve to protect the newly planed surface. What you may not expect to find is the large cast iron fence, so important for accurate surface planing. This fence, which tilts to 45º and is quickly and easily reset to 90º with the aid of an adjustable stop, is mounted on a thick steel bar which in turn is mounted in another substantial casting.
