Recently, two special ladies were treated to a party at The Meeting Place in Bookham - Lily Bannister at 100 and Lilian Stephens at 90 en- joyed a joint birthday celebration! There was a quiz to identify vari- ous buildings in Bookham and musical entertainment was provided by Bill Snowsill who played songs from their youth! A trip down memory lane was a fine way to mark these lovely ladies’ special days! And yes, Lily did receive a card from the Queen, so I
am told!
