Learn to Meditate at Good Space Yoga
K
athy Ornish, of Good Space Yoga, will lead a series of beginning meditation
classes in East Lansing. In the four-week course that begins July 21, students will learn how to begin a home meditation practice and receive specific instruc- tion in mantra meditation and stress reduction. The fee for the series is $65 and early registration is encouraged, as class size is limited to eight students. Class time runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. According to Ornish, “A clear and calm mind is the key
to a happy and healthy life, and meditation is the ultimate tool toward that end.” Through her teachings and group discussions, students will explore meditation philosophy, relaxation and concentration techniques, as well as gentle physical warm-ups designed to prepare the body and mind for sitting. The class is appropriate for those with no meditation experi-
ence and also individuals looking to enhance and expand their existing meditation practices. Ornish says, “Everyone will gain new tools and greater insight, whether totally new to meditation or a long-term meditator.”

he Naturopathic School of Healing Arts, in Ann Arbor, is now offering an Integrated Massage Therapy/Energy Medicine
program to students interested in pursuing careers in massage therapy.
