Did Zane Lowe just warn us about bad language? At 20 past midnight? When the fuck is the watershed now, then?

Carl was very understanding and stepped in on the catering front so Fospero could get to bed ahead of a 4am start – yawn.

Fospero: early start

I would rather watch Westlife gardening than watch Zane Lowe do anything. He tries too hard to say the right things about the right bands, he should relax, have a mudbath then have a ketamine enema… He is allowed his opinion but not about music.

Look, is there anything *tech- nically* wrong with designing the action figures first, then writing the TV series later? *looks furtive*

In honour of Blue Peter coming from TVC for the last time, I am FINALLY going to make a tinsel advent crown.

Full marks to Adam and Joe for venturing out to meet the great Glastonbury unwashed for their 6 Music show. Not only did they manage to assemble their elite Black Squadron fans as early as 10am, but they persevered in their spot next to the Pyramid stage just as Coldplay’s crew kicked off a soundcheck.

Helen becomes a 4am girl Newsreader Helen Fospero’s surprise return to ITV last week required some hasty rescheduling – on two fronts. LK Today host Fiona Phillips was taken ill the night before, prompting producer Emma Gormley to quickly put out the call for a replacement. Fospero was happy to step in – but was in the middle of putting her kids to bed and cooking a dinner party for 12 at the time. Luckily, her husband

Doing the grunt work Digital innovation of the week: 5 Live’s NetMix, which allows viewers to download a video player that can turn down players’ on- court grunts. The mixer also con- trols the levels of commentary, crowd and ball. Off Cuts wonders how many teenage boys might choose the reverse option: turning the grunts up at the expense of everything else.

A wheely good dancer Glee executive producer Dante di Loretto let Broadcast into a little secret: the best dancer of the hit musical is one Kevin McHale. The only problem is that no one knows it, because McHale plays the wheelchair-bound Artie Abrams. Perhaps they could shoehorn in a few more fantasy numbers for him?

AND FINALLY ...

Bruce Dunlop Group creative director, Bruce Dunlop Associates

Have you recently taken up anything? In a drunken moment last summer, I agreed to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for charity, so I have taken up walking – lots of walking. What words do you most overuse? Shithead. I’m terrible with names so I just call people shithead to myself as I’m searching my memory bank for their name. How do you get your own way? My business partner Honor says that I shut my eyes in an argu- ment. I’m like a kid. If I can’t see someone then it’s as if they’re not there and I can carry on regardless. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? My old boss Sam Chisholm told me to build a champion team not a team of champions. What’s the most unusual drink you’ve ever had? A night of flaming absinthe was followed by a day in Prague General Hospital with broken ribs. Who would you like to play yourself in a movie? Ideally Russell Crowe, but I fear it would be Clive James. What keeps you awake at night? My wife Joan. She’s a terrible snorer.
