and impressive technology as well as keeping the Focus true to its heritage by maintaining what made the model so popular – driving appeal.

With the Titanium, there are 2 petrol options and 2 diesel options available. Ford have fitted an EcoBoost engine in the 1.6 litre model, which is compact and light, yet delivers the power, torque and performance of a larger engine. It achieves this by combining direct petrol injection, turbo-charging and variable valve timing to extract the maximum amount of power from every drop of fuel. This, in turn, improves fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions. With EcoBoost engines, fuel efficiency has never been so exhilarating!

Both the frugal 1.6 litre TDCi (available in 95 PS or 115 PS variants) and powerful 2.0 litre TDCi (in 115 PS, 140 PS or 163 PS) diesel engines have seen a series of performance improvements. For example, the higher pressure, multiple injection process and more efficient fuel pump both significantly increase energy efficiency. The result? Increased power, torque and fuel economy, along with lower CO2 emissions. With an emphasis on increased power and performance it won't come as a shock that with the 1.6 Ecoboost hits 0-62mph in just 8.6 seconds.

With the entire range, Ford have sought to combine comfort with convenience without sacrificing any of the driving experience that made

pocket or bag. Very handy when your hands are full of shopping bags.

Driver Alert Driver Alert is designed to constantly monitor your driving behaviour and detect any deviation caused by driver fatigue. A warning icon then appears in the display suggesting you take a break. Exactly the kind of reminder you need, especially if you're driving alone.

With hi-tensile steels in the body that create a rigid structure to absorb energy efficiently, the overall design approach ensures all the systems work together effectively.

If called upon, the array of airbags are designed to comprehensively shield the driver and passengers. The car uses innovative sensors to activate the appropriate safety systems, such as all-round airbags, in a split-second. Plus, there's an advanced steering column and retracting pedals that all collapse away from the driver to reduce injury in case of impact. Whether one or five people are travelling, IPS makes you feel safer in the knowledge of the technology that's there to protect you.
