Bring things into balance with Reiki
Have you ever wondered what learning Reiki, or receiving a treatment, can
do for you, or what Reiki is? Well, Reiki is a simple Japanese energy-balancing method that is used by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. It is most well known as a hands-on treatment technique, but most “Reiki practitioners” actually use Reiki for their own benefit too, by working with energy and treating themselves!
Reiki was developed by a man called Mikao Usui in the early 1900s in Japan. He created a simple self- healing, spiritual development and treatment system that anyone could use. Eventually Reiki passed to the West and it is now practised all over the world
Anyone can benefit from Reiki, whether you have learned Reiki for yourself or received a course of Reiki treatments from a practitioner. These are some of the things that are possible through Reiki... * Deep relaxation * Reduced stress & anxiety * Boosted energy levels * A feeling of inner calm, contentment and serenity
* A speeding up of the natural healing process
Reiki can also help you to: * Feel more positive, confident and better able to cope
* Deal better with stressful people and difficult situations
* Develop a strong sense of purpose and clear-thinking
* Remove some of the ‘clutter’ from your life
Receiving Reiki is a simple process. A person lies on a treatment table and the practitioner will gently lay their hands on the body in a series of hand positions from the head to the feet. During the treatment, energy (called “chi”) is drawn through the practitioner into the recipient, helping to produce a state of balance. You might experience

While a one-off Reiki treatment will do something beneficial for you, bringing a sense of calm and peacefulness, and maybe producing some short-term physical benefits too, the best results come through having a course of treatments, maybe 4-6 sessions at weekly intervals. The effects of Reiki build up cumulatively, you see, and having a course of treatments helps to produce long-term beneficial changes for you on many levels.
Reiki is simple to learn and anyone can learn it. There are various levels called “Degrees” to learn, you will be shown how to use Reiki for your own benefit and the benefit of others. You will also learn a simple set of ‘rules to live by’ set down by Reiki’s founder. Reiki is not a
deep relaxation, tingling, heat from the practitioner’s hands, or feel like you are floating. Some people report various feelings after sessions, and sometimes notice the colours of nature in a much more heightened way. Feeling very peaceful and sometimes report feelings of bliss. You might feel nothing: everyone is different. If you have learned Reiki for yourself, then you can treat yourself. This is a wonderful relaxing process that will leave you feeling content, comforted and at peace with yourself and the world. You can “self-treat” every day!
religion, though, and it is practised by people from all walks of life.
By the end of your course you will know what to do and you will be able to work on yourself and treat your friends and family. If you would like to find out more about a Reiki treatment or might be interested in learning Reiki, then please do contact me.
