Richard E. McGraw
Richard E. McGraw, 80, of Hudson died at his home on June 16, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on April 8, 1931, in Ashburn, GA, son of the late Ernest and Myrtis (Johnson) McGraw and was also predeceased by two brothers, James and Glen McGraw.
Richard was the loving husband of Esther (Ruiter) McGraw of Hudson, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Richard served his country honorably in the Navy during the
Korean War. He loved gardening along with fishing and hunting. He loved his dogs throughout the years, and his current dog, Hooch, proved to be a great companion. Above all else Richard enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Esther, Richard is survived by a son,
Michael McGraw and his wife Gail of Alexander; two daughters, Ellen Nolen and her husband Bill of Sunapee, and Georgia Drew
and her husband Mark of Goffstown; a brother, Jack McGraw of Macon, GA; three sisters, Juanita Wheeler, Minda McGraw and Ernestine Faircloth, all of Ashburn, GA; eight grandchildren, Daniel McGraw of Newmarket, Joshua McGraw of Bristol, Sarah McGraw of Alexandria, Heather Nolen of Lincoln, Amy Carney of Newport, Kaitilyn Nolen of New London, Dale Roy of Hillsborough and Adam Drew of Stoddard; four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Rowan, Gemma and Ezekiel; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Visiting hours were held on June 20 in the Dumont-Sullivan

John A. Illg John Alfred Illg, 89, of Hudson and formerly of
Windham for many years, died peacefully at his home on June 15, 2011, with his loving family at his side. Mr. Illg was born in Dracut, MA on August 1, 1921, a son of the late Victor Charles and Catherine N. (Tulley) Illg. During his youth, John
resided in Dracut and was educated in Lowell, MA, schools. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Illg served as a sergeant with the 7th Army Combat Engineers in the European Theater and was involved in the D-Day invasion under the direction of General George C. Patton.
A longtime Nashua businessman, John was a founding partner of the former B.I.G. & R. Auto Body on Mason Street in Nashua, which he owned and operated for 40 years. In his leisure time, John enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening,
traveling and his lottery tickets. He also was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Mr. Illg especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and their activities.
Members of his family include his wife, Patricia Ann (Netto) Illg of Hudson; four daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Brian Cabral and their children Tyler and Ben of Hudson; Karen and Kevin Hodge, Jody and Kelly Fraser, and Marcia and Kenneth Therrien, all of Litchfield; seven grandchildren, Allison Beyor and her husband Brent, Caitlin Lucas, Melaney Hodge, Marc Therrien and his wife Jessica, Elyse Therrien and Tyler and Ben Cabral; three great-grandchildren, Zoe Beyor and Brooklynn and Jackson Lucas; and his lifelong best friends, Ken and Pat Blanchard of Hudson; also nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
At the request of Mr. Illg, his body was donated to Tufts
University School of Medicine in Boston. Friends wishing to express their sympathy may make donations in his memory to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
