Royal Goan Beach Club at Monterio GOA - BARDEZ

An hour’s drive north of Dabolim airport is the impressive Royal Goan Beach Club at Monterio. Set on the gentle slopes of a verdant hillside, the resort stands in lovely landscaped gardens on the banks of the Arpora River, just a delightful ten minute riverside walk from the picturesque Baga beach. The striking architectural style of this luxurious resort features balconies and balustrades, with the apartments set around two sparkling blue swimming pools.

Goa is world famous for its fabulous white, sandy beaches, fringed with swaying palms, and is a paradise for sun-worshippers and water sports enthusiasts. In northern Goa, the most famous beaches are Calangute, Baga, Anjuna and Vagator, all within easy

reach of the resort. To the south is the magnificent 25-mile stretch of Colva beach, and where that ends, the beaches of Benaulim and Cavelossim begin. However, there is much more to the country than the beachside delights of the Arabian Sea. Wherever you go, you’ll find that the local villages are home to skilled craftsmen, renowned for their quality jewellery, fabrics, leather items, silk and earthenware, which can all be admired at the colourful markets, along with other genuine Goan souvenirs. The many excursions and activities available at the resort include river cruises, beach water sports, trips to the cashew nut factory and spice farms, and visits to some fascinating temples and churches in the area.

NB: The resort is situated on a steep hill and may be unsuitable for elderly or disabled guests.
