Free senior distress kit answers ‘call’ Swing for less at The Duke
According to Julie Swartz, spokesperson for Home Instead Senior Care, one in 10 surveyed believe they could be confronted with care giving responsibilities at any time, with only 47 percent of them feeling knowledgeable about their loved ones’ medical conditions.
To help those who dread getting “the call” that tells them their senior loved one is in trouble, Home Instead Senior Care, a local senior care company, unveiled a free resource to help families better prepare.
Home Instead Senior Care in partnership with Humana Points of Caregiving aligned to develop the Caring for Your Parents: Senior Emergency Kit, an information management tool to help family caregivers keep important information at their fi ngertips. Information on their loved one’s doctors, pharmacy and insurance company, medications and dosage details, as well as allergies, make up the kit contents.
To learn more about receiving a kit, go to
www.SeniorEmergencyKit.com or call Home Instead at 480-827-4343.
