Martynas Levickis ‘Before entering the Royal Academy of Music, I thought I had a very good musical knowledge. But I soon realised that I had a lot more to learn. For me, this never- ending process of learning is the most fascinating part of being here. The Academy provides fabulous opportunities for its students to improve and evolve, and not only in your specialist principal study area — it educates you as a complete musician. What I appreciate more than anything else is the way that my studies have made me think about music on a much deeper level.

As an accordionist I am proud to be involved actively in the life of my department, and of the Academy as a whole. I’ve had wonderful opportunities to share the stage with great musicians. These experiences have been a huge inspiration for my further career aims.’
