IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COURSES AND
REFUNDS We make every effort to run all courses in this guide. However, each course is subject to recruiting a minimum number of enrolments to run.
If we don’t enrol enough people to run a course you may be offered an alternative programme or a full refund if no alternative is available. We will tell you as soon as possible if this is the case. You will not get a refund if you leave a course, either before or after it has started.
Some courses are still awaiting approval and funding agreements from external bodies. We reserve the right to cancel, amend fees or change examination bodies if necessary.
We may have to cancel sessions of courses in circumstances beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, power failure or sudden staff sickness. The fee you pay is for the whole course, not a set number of weeks and hours. In the event of a cancelled session, we will make sure that any missed content is covered in the remaining available weeks. If the course length is reduced by 10% or less of the planned programme, you will not get a refund and your course will not be extended, unless required by an examining body.
FEES
You must pay when you enrol on your course, whether you get a discount or not. Fees shown are for tuition only, unless otherwise stated. You may need to pay other costs depending on your course, for example:
• Exams • Professional body registration/membership • Books • Materials
We have shown these in the course details in this prospectus where possible.
REDUCED TUITION FEES
You could get a reduced tuition fee on some courses; these courses are marked with this icon.
You can get a discount on marked courses if you are: • on Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) or Employment Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work Related Activity Group
• 16-18 on the 31 August 2011 • studying your first Level 2 course • 19-24 and studying your first Level 3 course
Please note that even if you are eligible for 100% reduced tuition fee you will still pay a £10 college administration fee.
You may have to pay exam fees. We have indicated this with these icons
using the latest information we have
but some courses may not have been identified at time of printing.
You will need to produce recent evidence of benefit – a letter from Jobcentre Plus or Award Notice. Please note JCP40 is not acceptable
