The Crazy Eights, a jazz quintet made up of members of the Alvirne High School Jazz Band, will give a concert at the Rodgers Memorial Library, 194 Derry Road, Hudson, at 12:30 p.m. Come hear these talented musicians in a free concert.
A Bike-a-thon to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held on June 11 at Darrah Pond, located on Albuquerque Avenue, near Campbell High School in Litchfield. The bike-a-thon will begin at 11 a.m., and registration may be done before the start of the event. A release form must be signed. Donations are welcome, and sponsorship is not necessary. All bikers and walkers are welcome!
Sunday, June 12 The Nashaway Chapter of NH Audubon is staying local in June! On Sunday, June 12, from 6-11a.m., the group will be holding a free walk to search for flora and fauna at Benson Park in Hudson. If you haven’t visited Benson Park yet, this is your chance to do so. Formerly the site of Benson’s Wild Animal Farm, Benson Park is now officially open as a park for passive recreation. Join this free walk led by bird and plant experts. Sunday, June 12 The Friends of the Library monthly Used Book Sale will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level of the Hills Memorial Library Building. The sale will feature great prices on books, DVDs, CDs, and comic books. Check out the magazine recycling/swap program. Bring current magazines during SHP hours—take others home free. ‘Early Bird’ admittance at 10 a.m. granted to paid members of the Friends. Please enter via the ramp at the rear of the building at 18 School Street. Donations of DVDs, CDs, and gently used books are always needed. Bring donations to Second Hand Prose or to the Library during regular hours.
Starting Monday, June 13 Registration for the Children’s Summer Reading Program will begin on June 13. Hudson parents can register their children up to age 12 for the Rodgers Memorial Library Kids Summer Reading Program, “One World, Many Stories.” Registration is online—go to

Thursday, June 16 Registration for the upcoming Hudson Summer Tennis Program will be held on Thursday, June 16, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Hudson Recreation Center, 2 Oakwood Street. The lessons are in two-week sessions at a cost of $40 per session. No early registrations will be accepted.
Friday, June 24 Registration for the Fall Soccer Program will be held on Friday, June 24, from 3-8 p.m. at the Community Center, 12 Lion Avenue, Hudson, and will continue through July. Anyone registering after that will be charged a late fee.
Saturday, June 25 The Campbell High School Booster Club is holding a 5K Road Race/Walk. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K begins at 10 a.m., with Kids’ Events and a Kids’ Fun Run beginning at 11 a.m. There are many age divisions with prizes and there will be a raffle table.
