Think about reducing the cost of heating your home
With energy prices going ever upwards there has never been a better time to think about reducing the cost of heating your home.
The change from oil or gas heating to wood burning is a big step, but one that more and more people are willing to do, as the return on the installation costs are now fairly quick.

NOW THE STOCKIST OF PERGE BIOMASS BOILERS THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH WEST
2 summer 2011
To try and persuade us to change our boilers to renewable heating the government is to introduce a scheme to pay us a quarterly tariff for changing. this is the Renewable Heating Incentive (RHI).
For every hour of heat your boiler produces they will pay a fixed price per kW.
The exact amounts will not be known for a few more weeks, and will not come into being until October 2012.
In the meanwhile if you want to change, then a one off payment will be paid in lieu of the RHI.
In fact installations meeting the requirements can be back dated.
As with all things there are some criteria to adhere to, all boilers and installers must be part of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme or MCS.
If this all sounds too daunting, then even putting in a wood burner with a boiler will help to reduce the use of gas or oil, couple this with a heat store, or solar and you are well on the way to reducing your heating bills.
Act now to ensure that the work is done before the cold weather, please don`t leave it until October. The cost of stoves is going to rise in the autumn, as the metal prices go up.
A visit to the showroom or a phone call to discuss the options and then a site survey by an installation engineer will start the project.
The showrooms are open Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm; Saturday 10am-4pm.
