Dive into Chandler’s special pool events


Chandler’s aquatic centers and swimming pools are making a splash in June by offering the SanTan Sun community several fun themed events open to all ages. Desert Oasis Aquatic Center


The Arizona Luau from noon to 3 p.m. on June 11 takes place at Desert Oasis Aquatic Center, 1400 Summit Pl. Celebrate summer with friends and family, and enjoy a water balloon toss, scavenger hunt and limbo contest. Info: 480-732-1061.


A Night at Folley runs from 8 to 10 p.m. June 15 at Folley Pool at 600 E. Fairview. Bring the whole family for a treasure hunt, “Biggest Splash” contest and the longest free-throw shot for older youth and adults. There will also be special activities for younger kids. Info: 480-782-1063.


West Chandler Aquatic Center Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center


The “Father’s Day” event from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on June 19 at Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center, 5901 S. Hillcrest Dr., is a chance to treat dad to a day of fun in the sun. Enjoy activities and games with dad poolside, and receive a discounted entry fee of only $1 for the entire family from noon to 2 p.m. Info: 480-782-2635.


Arrowhead Pool


A Day at The Beach takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 21 at Arrowhead Pool 1475 W. Erie St. Families and individuals pair up for water balloon contests, relays with tubes and prizes will be given away. Info: 480-732-1064.


A Hawaiian Luau from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 25 offers a Hawaiian lei to the first 100 guests to arrive at West Chandler Aquatic Center. In addition to swimming, activities include a limbo contest, races and hula hoop contest. The center is located at 250 S. Kyrene Rd. Info: 480-784-8261. There is no additional fee for the special events, which are produced by Chandler Aquatics. Participants only need pay the regular admission fees of $1 for children ages 2 to 17, $2.25 for adults ages 18 to 54 and $1.25 for ages 55 and older unless otherwise stated.
