As the saying goes, folks come to Breckenridge for the winters, but they stay for the summers. We’re delighted that you are here to experience some of the many reasons why: stellar weather, a beautiful recreation path, two magnificent resident orchestras, a talent-filled local theatre, a host of art events and workshops, a world-class golf course and of course the beauty of the Blue River and the Tenmile Range.


We invite you to start your exploration of historic Breckenridge at the Welcome Center located on Main Street right in the middle of one of the largest Historic Districts in Colorado. The Welcome Center showcases both our history and our future — and they have expert staff on hand to help you make the most of your Breckenridge adventure.


This summer, Breckenridge is proud to be among the host cities for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is the most demanding bike race ever held on American soil, with racers experiencing breathless altitudes, day after day. The race is on the level of the Tour de France, bringing the high speeds, danger and adrenaline of professional biking to elevations over 2 miles high in some of the most picturesque terrain in the world— the Colorado Rocky Mountains. And stage 5 finishes right here in Breckenridge!
