IN MEMORY OF:

Julie Knight, 1950 – 2011 Julia died on Thursday 21st

April 2011. It was to have been Julia’s 61st

birthday on the following Monday, her passing has left all who knew her devastated.

Julia was born and raised in Inverness and was very proud of her Scottish heritage never losing her Scottish twang when in conversation. She moved south when she married her late husband Graham, who flew with the RAF. Julia and Graham had 2 children, Heather an Karl, and 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Maddie and Max.

Julia worked for many years as a registered nurse at Hinchingbrooke Hospital but had to retire a few years ago due to health problems. More recently she was chairperson of the Huntingdon Speakability Group, dedicated to helping stroke victims regain their speech.

Julia’s mischievous sense of humour and ability to hold centre stage at a party made her one of the most entertaining and loved people I have ever come across. Everyone who ever met her will have a fun tale to tell of the experience, and Godmanchester will certainly be a little less colourful without her.

In loving memory Alan and Kathy Hooker

David Andrew Orbell, 1956 – 2010 David moved to Godmanchester in July 1981 with his wife Diana, daughter Anita and son Nathan, having spent most of his childhood at Brampton. Once settled he and Diana joined the Comrades Club and David their Darts Team. He enjoyed playing with the team until he became too ill having been diagnosed with Cancer in July 2008.

Tragically on the June 26th 1996 daughter Anita was taken from them in a

car accident, somehow David, Diana and Nathan managed to get through this difficult time.

David enjoyed gardening and fishing, he also helped out at Huntingdon Gym where Nathan trained while he was still at school. David also had a unique style of dancing which was often seen at the Picnic in the Park. In more recent time he enjoyed spending time with his grand children Joshua and Sophie who brought him love and happiness at a time of uncertainty. David fought his illness bravely but sadly lost his fight on December 11th

2010.
