The challenge made to the children of Godmanchester this year was to come up with a design that captured the historic heritage of the town as we come up to the 800th


anniversary


of our Charter. There was an ulterior motive to this task and that was to find an eye catching image with which to adorn our commemorative china mug being organized to celebrate the occasion, but more of that later. As always we had hundreds of drawings to choose from from both schools and the task was daunting given the variety of ideas. The children pictured above have their efforts repro-duced over the following pages.
