His primary media is automotive paint and “one shot” sign paint; custom paint projects include furniture, motorcycle accessories, automotive projects, hand-painted signs and grafiti art, as well as musical instruments.
Over the years, Dave and I have enjoyed many discussions
about music, and I know that he plays bass guitar and trumpet. I always knew that he could paint, but what I didn’t know is that Dave is currently showing his art. His latest line includes small igurines which he calls “Maniacs,” and another line of

When I decided to get my double bass painted, I knew
exactly who could get the job done. Dave DeVore is a long-time friend of mine; we share the same interests in music and I’m a fan of his art. As an automotive customizer and painter, Dave has the ability to paint just about anything and make it look cool. When I commissioned him to put some old school pin stripes on my bass, I had the opportunity to ask a few questions about his work. Dave told me that his mother was his biggest supporter, and
always encouraged his pursuit of artistic endeavors. Although self-taught, he received a lot tips from some innovative painters along the way. He mentioned Rob Britingham as an inspiring
“lat pieces” that are cut out of thin sheets of recycled aluminum and then painted. His pieces were well received at the Mod f Miami Art Convention, described as, A Swankadelic Experience
or Modern Minds - Where Modernism Meets Mod. Inspired, the
event’s vibe will deinitely relect in his future work. Dave plans to
attend an upcoming art show in Tampa, but he’s still holding out for a local gallery with a more “modern feel” that better relects his style. My canvas can be just about anything,” explains Dave, adding, “my artistic outlet keeps my soul refreshed.” For more info and
