Studying for interest only We have students who are eager to learn but are not interested in an award or taking exams, so study with us for interest only. Typical examples are people who have not studied since school, those that have taken a career break and would like to update their skills and people who have retired and have more time on their hands.

Interest only CATS students benefit from the learning environment and resources available at the University and always have the opportunity to take assessments and gain a formal qualification if they choose to.

“I come in once a week for three hours to study Spanish for interest only. Once I’d finished working I wanted to keep my brain active but I didn’t want to do anything that took up too much of my time so just studying Spanish was ideal”. Rachel Goode, Interest only CATS student
