easily recycled using a simple pulping process, where the paperboard and non-fibre layers are separated and turned into new materials. The wood fibres can be used to produce new high-strength paper products, such as envelopes and carrier bags, while the polymer and foil layers can be recycled or used for energy recovery.
Rexam win at Italian packaging Oscars
Rexam has won an award for quality design at the Italian Oscar dell'Imballaggio (“Oscar's Packaging Awards”) 2011 for its aluminium Fusion bottle. The bottle, designed by Rexam for CanellaWine
to package its Bellini sparkling wine drink, won in the beverage category at a prestigious awards ceremony held inMilan on the 14th April 2011.
