a leader through her actions; “I try to be as much of a leader as I can because we have a young team. I want to be a good example.” Julia also has kind words for sibling, teammate and fellow pitcher, Allie Nolan. Julia spoke of her sister’s abilities as a pitcher along with her role in the quest for 500; “Allie works really hard, she’s a really, really good pitcher - she’s awesome. She’s been very supportive (of me). If she gets in the game, she’s going to get the job done.” Nolan continued by crediting the athletic programs at Campbell, citing that “all of our teams are solid teams and they’ve done very well. I think coach “K” and Mr. Falzarano do a really good job.”

sitting around bond fires. Nolan will be attending Keene State College in the fall where she will study to be a nutritionist with plans of eventually working in a hospital in that capacity. Having a stellar year thus far, the Cougars are poised to make a run all the way to a D-3 championship. With Nolan’s blistering fastball and a potent offensive attack, the girls’ softball team may follow in the girls’ soccer and basketball teams’ footsteps. And just may make the hoisting of another Campbell High School state championship banner in the rafters of the ‘Cougar Den’ a reality.
