Spend time with birds of prey
Based near the market town of Liskeard in South East Cornwall are Ancient Art Falconry.
Owners, husband and wife team Phil and Sharon Bindon offer the thrilling opportunity to handle and fly some of the most beautiful and spectacular birds of prey in some of the most stunning countryside in Cornwall.
An exhilarting experience and incredibly relaxing and therapeutic, is the description used by Sharon on this kind of bird handling.
The couple have been involved in
falconry since 2004, and since then Phil and Sharon have completed Lantra Awards and hawked in Scotland with Golden Eagles.
Included in their extensive family of birds are Harris Hawks, Steppe Eagle, Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Eurasian Eagle Owls, an African Spotted Eagle Owl, a Kestrel, falcons and a sparrowhawk.
Ancient Art Falconry welcome families, adults, children, schools and corporate groups to try and enjoy these fantastic experiences. They now offer Bird Control as well

Sunday July 24 - Saturday July 30 List of events:
Sunday 24th July Coast and Country - 13th Vintage and Classic Transport Display incorporating all day car boot sale, West Wayland. Gates open for car booters from 8.00am. Parade of Vehicles also demonstrations, side- shows, rides, bar, refreshments and entertainment by ‘Stacked’ playing Blues and Rock - and much more! Admission only £2.00 per car, including parking all day.
Monday 25th July
Carnival Royalty Choosing - open to children of primary school age, resident in the club area. Assemble for judging at 6.30pm in West Looe Square (outside the fire station) followed by Looe’s traditional Floral Dance - starts from West Looe Square at 7.30pm.
Tuesday 26th July Annual Carnival Fun Run - Adult and juniors plus U13s Mini Fun Run start on West Looe Quay and through the woods! Entry fee: £3 adult; £1.50 U18s. Entrants registration from 4.30pm with the run starting at 6.30pm. Sheila’s School of Dance presents ‘title to be advised’at Looe Community School 7.30pm.
Wednesday 27th July Children’s Sand Modelling Competition - East Looe Beach 2.30-3.30pm prizes. Entry 50p.
