Time for everyone to party

People throughout Looe and the surrounding areas celebrated the Royal Wedding in style.

There were street parties galore, together with competitions for the youngsters, as people made the most of the excuse for some fun on the public holiday.

Fun was had by all in Looe where, what started as a few royalists celebrating the special day turned into a ‘right royal knees-up’ with various street parties springing

up all over the town.

Local bars and restaurants also got into the Royal Wedding spirit by supplying party-goers with refreshments.

Crescent celebrates big day

Trewint Crescent, the Barbican, East Looe, held a very successful Royal Wedding street party.

With an official road closure in place, the street was decked in flags and banners.

Decorated tables were placed up the middle of the peaceful road allowing children to have a celebratory tea.

There was music and dancing all

afternoon and a barbecue for the adults.

Over 50 people spent an enjoyable few hours socialising and organising games and races for the children.

Everyone who attended the Royal Wedding celebrations in the Crescent agreed it was a complete success.
