Bigger crowds at West Looe May Fayre

West Looe was once again packed for its annual May Fayre.

Among the entertainment was a procession lead by St Pinnock Band, Maypole dancing outside St Nicholas Church and performances by local musicians.

Cornwall councillor Edwina Hannaford said: ‘I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who helped make the second West Looe May Fayre such a resounding success.

‘Despite an early threat of rain, the sun shone and West Looe had a lovely, friendly, happy atmosphere with even bigger crowds than last year.

‘May Queen Rosie Pike regally presided over the day and town crier Roger Bennett added colour and character.

‘All these groups, organisations and individuals coming together demonstrates what I already know – that Looe has a strong, healthy sense of community to make things happen.’
