Colour the iris and pupil The plastic circle is going to be the iris and the pupil of your eyeball. Choose your iris colour and cover the circle. Make your marks from the centre out to give the impression of the iris. If you don’t have permanent markers you can mix a little paint with pva glue as this will work on plastic.

When your ‘iris’ is dry, colour the pupil with a black permanent marker or some black paint mixed with pva glue.

When completely dry, glue to the inside of your ‘eyeball’. You may need to tape it as well to make sure it stays where you want it to.

Finishing touches Now your eyeball is finished, position it on top of the painted tube. You can write on this if you wish, with things like ‘Eye’ve got my eye on you!’ or ‘Eye’m watching you!’ or your own catch phrase.

Place a battery powered torch behind your nightlight – turn out the lights and wait for the screams to begin!

This project is designed for use with battery powered lights only – please do not use with mains lighting or candles as this could pose a fire hazard.

When you have finished your project, don’t forget to put the tin foil, plastic and paper in the appropriate recycling points.
