Chiappa Firearms has been producing the Richmond musket – a rifl e with a 40in barrel and three bands – since 1989. Now it has added the .58 calibre carbine version, which features a 25in rifl ed barrel. T e rifl e was originally used in the American Civil War and Chiappa’s version reproduces the details of the original with unrivalled accuracy. T e sling swivels are fi xed to the front band, trigger guard and stock. It has a butt plate and forend tip made of brass and a ramrod with tulip tip.
