The Kleen Kover Is Now Available for Patient Transfer PAL
tions after every two minutes of resuscitation.
Performing CPR with assistance provided by the Rhythm of Life will: • Improve adherence to American Heart Association 2010 Guidelines
• Keep the focus on the patient and critical interventions
• Promote uninterrupted chest compres- sions at the appropriate rate
• Help avoid over-ventilation and hyper- ventilation
• Prompt users to switch chest compres- sors every two minutes to avoid rescuer fatigue
The Rhythm of Life is designed to be easy to understand at first glance and simple to operate with its large illuminated buttons, while offering flexible features such as user selectable prompts, CCR features, and intu- bated patient support that more advanced users demand. The CPR timer allows the res- cuer to enter the type of patient that is being resuscitated along with other pertinent infor- mation, and then outputs proper resuscitation rates and ratios for that specific patient. When using the Rhythm of Life during real- life resuscitation the rescuer receives clear guidance to ensure the resuscitation is in compliance with the latest CPR standards,
which has been proven to give the patient the best chance for survival. In addition, the Rhythm of Life is an excellent educational tool as it allows providers to experience the proper rates of compression and ventilation while helping emphasize how difficult it can be to maintain the correct rates.

The Kleen Kover, designed by iTec Mfg, is a disposable, fitted sheet that fits over the patient Transfer PAL. After listening to a cus- tomer comment about the desire for a cover to keep the Transfer PAL clean, Michael Wil- son, iTec Partner, decided to design the Kleen Kover. “We are always open to sug- gestions for new products or for making our current products better,” said Wilson. The Kleen Kover is fitted to stay in place while patients are being transferred with the Trans- fer PAL. Made of a fluid resistant material, it will keep the Transfer PAL clean. Two sizes are available – regular and bariatric. Today, iTec Mfg has been manufacturing the Multi-Grip Head Immobilizer since 1989. They also manufacture the Tank Boss portable oxygen cylinder lift.
