Providing him with his first concept of APG systems.” Danny continued: “Mr Dai was already an experienced listener when it came to other loudspeaker brands, so when he heard APG he thought it was quite unique. Not a normal sound, but a very pure sound. So he took our plan and added it to his consideration list.” Because Mr Dai is the sole owner of Babyface, a decision on the sound system was made very quickly. He was always very focused on his plan. Mr Dai said: “I knew APG was a good sound system, one of the top-level sound systems in the world. But I asked for some opinions on the sound system from my peers anyway. “In the very beginning I had worries about the performance of the sound system. But after my visit to the showroom in Shenzhen and listening to the APG speakers I recognised that this was a really good system. So after all that, I felt this was the right brand and I


wanted to use it in the club.” Once BVCAM was given the contract, Mr John set about designing the system. The design was mainly focused on Chinese characteristics. As the club will mainly attract Chinese people (rather than tourists) the sound system was designed with that in mind. Mr John said: “The system of APG is very unique, it is not like any other brand, it has character, very clear sound, even in the high frequency so that when people spend a few hours here, their ears don’t hurt, and they still feel that is it good quality music. Some sound systems in other clubs, if you stay for half an hour,, you will get a headache.” In the main area, Mr John selected six APG SMX15’s for the FOH. A high precision, high power cabinet, which can be used either as a main loudspeaker or a stage monitor. Danny said: “We are really happy with the performance of the SMX15. This is a fairly new
