first started teaching Zumba about a year ago, at that time not many people had heard of it.


For anybody who doesn‟t know much about Zumba, it is the latest fitness craze. As such, when I first heard about it, I thought it would just fizzle and die. Oh how wrong I was. As soon as I went on the Zumba course, I was hypnotised by the music and the energy. The results were astonishing. My daughter had recently turned one and I


had a stubborn bit of baby weight that just wouldn‟t shift. I wanted to get my washboard stomach back and tighten the loose saggy skin that seemed to crumple around my belly button, for anyone whose had a baby, you will know where I am coming from. It seemed an impossible mission. Six months later, mission accomplished.


Zumba almost unwittingly toned my entire body and while I was doing it, I was having fun. I never get bored of teaching my classes, as soon as I hear the music, that uplifting sensation returns and I just can‟t get enough!! When you are going to your first Zumba class


here are some tips that should make it even more fun 1. Wear something light and happy 2. Make sure you bring your water and a towel 3. Work at your own level 4. Don‟t be intimidated by the steps, you will pick them up and that‟s when the fun really begins 5. Bring some friends and have fun!!
