CHURCH OFFERS TASTY TREATS AND CHANCE TO SOCIALISE

A

bbots Langley Baptist Church are very excited about and proud of their new kitchen. To celebrate this, they had a grand opening

and blessing on March 27, when the whole church stayed for hot lunch after the regular 11am Sunday service. This was followed just two days later by the

first over 50s lunch club since before Christmas. This club, run by several church members,

had been really missed while the kitchen was being built. It will now continue on the last Tuesday of

each month form 11.45am to 1.45pm. From Monday May 9, new coffee mornings will

be weekly during term time from 9am to 12pm The new facilities enable the church to provide

wonderful bacon butties and beans on toast as well as the usual delicious cakes, coffee and tea. All served in a friendly and warm environment. Call in on “Cafe by the Green” at the Baptist

Church, School Mead on Monday mornings when you‟re dropping the kids off at school, or picking them up from nursery, or even on your way to

work. If you have a free morning, drop by for a

relaxing chat and good company. This coffee morning is for everyone – all ages

are welcome from babies to great grandparents! Contact Paul Brooks for details of the lunch

club on 01923 351924 or emai l secretary@abbotslangleybaptist.org.uk
