A RIGHT ROYAL EVENT FOR THE PEACE HOSPICE www.harlequinphoto.co.uk

R

oyalty turned out at a recent event at the House of Lords to support the Peace

Hospice. Princess Michael of Kent joined corporate

supporters of the Peace Hospice at a champagne reception and dinner on April 15th. The sell-out evening attracted 120 people who

heard a keynote speech from Geoffrey Munn, who is the jewellery specialist on the BBC‟s Antiques Roadshow. Paul Gauntlett, the hospice‟s Director of Fundraising and Communications, was delighted

with the way the evening went. He said: “It was fantastic to meet old and new supporters in such a lovely setting. “The Princess was charming and we discovered

we both own Siamese cats. A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in making this a success especially De Lage Landen, Total UK and Image works. We raised more than £15,000 towards the hospice‟s work.” Princess Michael will open the hospice‟s new

extension on June 9th. Mr Gauntlett added: “It‟s fantastic that Princess Michael has kindly agreed to open our new extension. It will offer an improved environment for our patients, carers and clients. The Department of Health funded the £500,000 project. We‟re still constantly doing all we can to raise funds to provide our services.”
