“Thumbs up to Willow Street. You own
and live in your property that needed improvements. So you hired the best workers for the best price you could afford and refurbished and improved your property. That’s the way to update and maintain what you already own. That mentality is what the voters will support for the high school not what the Communication Committee or the Aces Committee want, or the school boards pipe dreams. The town will only support what they can afford. Get that through your 5 thick heads.”
The players, coaches and parents should be proud to receive this award for the team’s positive and professional attitudes and behavior both on and off the pitch.”
“Thumbs down to the NH flag football league
for having picture day on Mother’s Day. When you have several kids with games at different times and they need to be there an hour ahead, some mothers spent four hours at the football field. It’s just unfair, it makes you want to go home and cry, not the Mother’s Day I’d want to have.”

“Thumbs up to superintendent Bass looking for productive green pastures. First Miss Mahoney, second Miss Dube and you are the only 3 having common sense and knowing when to jump a sinking ship. However the 5 survivors don’t know the difference.”
“Thumbs down to Pelham Elementary School
for forcing out Mrs. Kirk she was the best and most dedicated recess mom they had. Now our kids are suffering because they forced her out. What a shame.”
“Thumbs down to the Pelham Elementary
School. I read a couple of weeks ago that 2 fifth graders left the school grounds and got no punishment for it. How are we supposed to feel our children are safe in that school? If this is the case (and I heard from a reliable source that it is actually true) Alicia Lafrance and the rest of the administration should be fired if they can’t do the job that we, the taxpayers of Pelham hired them to do.”
“Thumbs down to DJ Bettencourt who I voted for. Bringing down the gas tax 5 cents will do nothing to help people out while gas prices continue to rise. Instead he should be pushing to bring a casino into Rockingham Park. Not only will it bring added money to the state and lower our
“Thumbs up to Mrs. Cunio and the entire Windham Middle School chorus. When you see the amount of kids that are in this program and hear the amazing sound that comes from them, it is incredible. I think they have an amazing teacher! I was blown away by the music from Les Miserables. I have been fortunate enough to see that show
on Broadway. The kids (especially those with solo portions) did a wonderful job. I thought for many years that it was the play itself that brought me to tears, but on Wednesday night I realized it is the beauty of the music and songs. Thumbs way up to the entire chorus for a job well done!!”
with borrowing money when you are in a recession and can’t afford to pay it back. Let’s get the fire stations and schools built while we can still float some bonds. Stop worrying we can just borrow money against our homes to make the payments.”

“Thumbs up to the people who picked up the tremendous amount of trash that littered both sides of Roulston Road in Windham! This is a lovely, shady road that runs between Rt. 28 and Searles Road. For some reason, people traveling this road have little respect for the homeowners and businesses there, and choose to toss their trash as they pass through.

“Thumbs down to those who talk about assault clips. Can you tell me the definition of assault clips? Cause I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Do you mean a high capacity magazine? For everyone’s sake who reads this please, please don’t sound uneducated like the Brady Campaign. Here are the un-known facts for you. Alcohol related deaths annually

property taxes, it will bring lots of jobs to New Hampshire.”
“Thumbs up to the Windham Boys U11 Soccer team coached by Jon Colvin, Dan Sheahan and Scott Rust! The team received the ‘2011 Youth President’s Cup Fair Play Award’ from the NH Soccer Association. The Fair Play award is given to the team that shows the best sportsmanship throughout the competition (as observed and voted on by the competition officials and the game referees and linesmen).

“Thumbs down. In the PW News of May 6th, a caller commented on the ‘supposed’ reduced response time for the Fire Department ... ‘same number of calls, same equipment.’ Well, he/she may want to listen carefully to the reasons. The bay is very small, and the apparatus has to be parked according to size. Not what is used most often at the front (i.e. ambulances) and

79,000 gun related deaths 30,000. By the numbers maybe the pro-hibition should be re- instated. You might want to let the Brady’s in on these facts so they can fix their web page.”
“Thumbs down to Right to Work. It is bad for New Hampshire.”

“Thumbs up to the beautiful house for sale
on Koper Lane. Why hasn’t anyone scooped it up yet? Spread the word and keep our neighborhood thriving! We will miss you when you move, you too zeeta.”
“Thumbs down to the resident on Tallant Road who finds that excessive traffic and oversized trucks are necessary on the street. You say that without them there would be no homes, but Tallant Road is already established! Our street is not supposed to be a main road for that’s what Mammoth Road is designated. As for the suggestion of moving if I don’t appreciate all of the unnecessary traffic, I’m one step ahead. You can tell by the fact that I have a FOR SALE sign posted on my lawn!”
“Thumbs up to the Windham Endowment Greenhouse Project and all of the hard work that is going into making it a reality. The children of Windham are so lucky that they will have a state of the art learning facility like a greenhouse. Thanks to the committee.”

“Thumbs down to the person who wrote about the NBC Program, ‘School Pride.’ You don’t know what you are talking about! School Pride has come into towns and cities and REBUILT many schools. They will do MUCH more than ‘pait and use screwdrivers.’ Maybe now that Dr. Bass is leaving the town of Pelham should try to be chosen again! We could have a new rebuilt High School at NO COST to the town or the townspeople!!”
“Thumbs up to the Windham Residents that
walked the 20 mile Project Bread Walk-a-thon in Boston last weekend. Good job!”
“Thumbs up to COD for doing so well on her finals and scoring a great internship! I am very proud of you- Now I know who you take after!”
