Welcome to the May issue of A1 Lighting, which features a special 16-page supplement dedicated to next month’s euroLED exhibition.

The show features several new areas for 2011, including a special Lighting Association exhibitor showcase area, presenting the latest developments in LEDs and lighting. There will also be a dedicated light test and measurement area, adding yet another new dimension to the event. There will also be a speed networking area, and of course the Gala Dinner in the evening where guests can combine work and play.

Also in this issue, we take a look at the fibre optic sector, which is enjoying continued growth. Our flexible friend still has a firm foot within the lighting industry, offering a low energy way of creating some simply stunning effects, as our feature on P.20 shows.

We also look at some of the latest designs out there to vamp up living rooms, as well as look at some of the latest office lighting solutions. Lastly, we provide you with a delightful mix of recent installations: Jason Bruges creates another innovative installation, this time at the new W Hotel in London’s Leicester Square, while across town Megaman brings drama and energy to Marni’s store at Harvey Nichols. Finally, DHA Designs teams up with Mike Stoane Lighting and Xicato to illuminate the V&A’s Asian Gallery.

Lastly, everyone that subscribes to the magazine between the 1st and 31st May 2011 will automatically be entered into a draw to win £50 of Marks and Spencer vouchers. It’s easy to do ‐ subscribe for free at www.a1lightingmagazine.com
