A Delmatic lighting management system has been installed at Fortnum & Mason in London, during a recent £26m refurbishment project. The Delmatic lighting management system was installed to provide flexible scene set switching and dimming of lighting throughout the six floors of retail areas, food outlets and restaurants. Sophisticated timing regimes suit the requirements of each retail department, and the system integrates with the specialist emergency lighting network.

Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi is the busiest airport in India and its new 111,600 sq m Terminal 3 is supported by a lighting system with around 100,000 light fittings, which ensure passengers’ well-being and safety. The control system is based on ABB’s I bus KNX technology and was designed by Entelechy Systems. The lighting must be switched on 24 hours a day, but there is scope for energy conserving lighting management as brightness can be reduced, and automatic dimming/ switching can follow patterns of demand.

Lighting Services Bristol has selected the LED Display Case Lighting System from GE Lighting to highlight Brighton Toy Museum’s range of over 10,000 toys and models, thanks to its inherent sustainability credentials, quality of light and optical performance, in addition to its heat management system. It creates a bright, uniform light, which will stand out against ambient lighting, really enhancing the products that are encapsulated. It uses multiple point sources of light to increase uniformity, reflectivity and sparkle effects to stand out from other ambient lighting in the museum.

Luminaires from Riegens Lighting have been installed at the newly constructed Warwick Clinical Trials Unit (WCTU), part of Warwickshire University. Riegens Planus fittings were specified by leading environmental building services consultants Couch, Perry & Wilkes and form part of a totally flexible, energy saving lighting scheme. The Planus College suspended system incorporates 2 x 28W T5 lamps and has been utilised throughout the offices, classrooms and any areas where a higher ceiling (3m to 3.5m) is in place or where solid soffits exist.
