THERE was talk of pedestrianising Greenwich town centre. There was talk of a relief road to keep trucks out. Some say sky-high parking charges are a way of keeping cars out. But no one has talked about turning it into a two- way street – until this coach driver casued chaos on Greenwich Church Street. Flaming numpty!

AN ANIMAL Care Centre will shut unless campaigners win their
fight to keep it going. Greenwich Council has voted to cut
all £43,000 of its funding for the 80-year-old centre in Maryon Wilson Park, Charlton. The centre – popular with young
families – has one staff member who tends animals including pigs Bangers and Mash, sheep, goats, ducks, wild- fowl, horses and deer. Free two-hour tours take place each
