The Pueblo cultures of New Mexico come to life as kids create a “storyteller” sculpture in clay and dye yarn to make a weaving.
Towers, Ceilings and Chandeliers Entering grades 1 to 2 August 15-19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuition: $200; $180 members Campers learn about the blown-glass sculpture of Dale Chihuly and other artists. They design a tower, a chandelier and other individual pieces that, combined with others, create a Chihuly- inspired ceiling!
Viva la France! Entering grades 1 to 2 June 13-17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuition: $200; $180 members Campers create art in the spirit of great French masters by designing a Matisse cut-paper collage, making a dot painting in the style of Seurat, painting a Monet water lily scene, and more.
Walk Like an Egyptian Entering grades 1 to 2 June 27-July 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuition: $200; $180 members Campers design a mural for a pyramid wall, create a headdress fi t for a ruler, make a miniature sarcophagus and design hieroglyphs.
Watercolor Wonders Entering grades 3 to 5 June 27-July 1, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Tuition: $110; $100 members Kids learn basic watercolor painting techniques, such as wet-in-wet, layering and dry brush, to depict objects, water, light and atmosphere.
