East Cornwall Bach Choir St. Germans Festival 2011 Fauré: The Requiem English Cathedral Music


St. Germans Parish Church, Quay Road, St.Germans, Cornwall, PL12 5LY Simon Dunbavand – organ, Soloists: Truro Cathedral choristers. Une Belle Alliance. This will be a night of lyrical and harmonious English Cathedral choral music followed by the fabulous Fauré Requiem. Close to midsummer, the message of the music is hope and the return of light after darkness. The pieces range from the early music of Tallis and Byrd to Elgar’s bold twentieth century composition.
