Μια διαφορετική προσέγγιση A Different Approach


Με επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε η ελληνική αγωνιστική εβδομάδα Eurolymp. O Stevie Κουρής σχολιάζει την διοργάνωση όπως την είδε: μέσα από τα μάτια του κριτή.

Mε πολλές συμμετοχές από Ελλάδα και εξωτερικό και τα μεγαλύτερα ονόματα της ιστιοπλοϊκής σκηνής να δίνουν συναρπαστικές μάχες για την κατάκτηση της τελικής νίκης, το φετινό Eurolymp στέφθηκε με επιτυχία σε όλα τα επίπεδα. Ωστόσο ποια είναι τα σημεία που καθιστούν μια διοργάνωση πετυχημένη και τι είναι εκείνο που την κάνει «μεγάλη». Εξετάζοντας καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια των αγώνων διεξοδικά, προκύπτει ότι η ειδοποιός διαφορά ήταν σύσταση στελεχών της Επιτροπή Ενστάσεων. Οι Έλληνες κριτές είχαν πλαισιωθεί από αναγνωρισμένους και πολύ έμπειρους Διεθνείς κριτές, με σκοπό την αρτιότερη διεξαγωγή των αγώνων. Πολλοί είναι αυτοί που αναρωτιούνται για την χρησιμότητα των κριτών και αν είναι αναγκαία η παρουσία τους στο στίβο κατά τη διάρκεια των αγώνων. Ας ξεκαθαρίσουμε, λοιπόν, πώς η παρουσία τους είναι σημαντικός παράγοντας για τη σωστή διεξαγωγή των αγώνων.

There were many participants from Greece and abroad and the top names of the sailing world gave exciting fights to win the final lead. This year’s Eurolymp Week was success- ful in every possible sense. However, what is it that makes an event successful and what makes it “great”? Taking a close look at the races throughout the event, it becomes clear that what really made the difference was the choice of the members of the Appeals Committee. The Greek judges were joined by renowned and very experi- enced international judges in order to secure the best pos- sible running of the races. Many people wonder about the usefulness of the judges and whether their presence in the sailing arena during the races is necessary. Let us set the record straight then: their presence is of vital importance for the smooth running of the races.
